Image sizes reference

You can upload larger images than specified here. Keep the same aspect ratio for ideal results. Where a fixed aspect ratio applies, the crop tool enforces it after upload. If a crop doesn't match, the editor shows Invalid cropped image size. Transparent PNG files work as well.

Icon

The lock screen and the notification center show the icon in push notifications, and so do email attachments. Every template needs an icon, and it must be square with a 1:1 ratio.

Logo

The pass shows the logo in its upper left section. If you upload a wider logo, the pass still shows it, but the text fields to its right can end up cropped or hidden. You can hide the logo entirely, replace it per pass with Different for each Pass, or localize it per language.

Google Wallet Logo

Google Wallet uses a square logo. This slot appears only when you have enabled Google Wallet for the template. In that case the logo is mandatory unless you hide it.

Background

Coupons, store cards and event tickets have a background slot.

• Store Card and Coupon. The upper area of the pass shows it, 1860 × 738.
• Event Ticket. A smaller background strip in the upper section, 1920 × 504.
• Event Ticket background variant. Full screen with an automatic gaussian blur effect, 1080 × 1320.

You can provide a separate Android Background Image of 1032 × 336 for Android wallet apps.

Thumbnail

The right section of the pass shows the thumbnail, often a photo of the card holder. The Generic pass type and the event ticket background variant offer it. Like the logo and background, you can hide it, set it per pass, or localize it.

Templates with an enhanced pass type get an additional Enhanced Layout tab in the Images section.

• Poster event ticket. Artwork at 1074 × 1344, Primary Logo at 378 × 90, Secondary Logo at 405 × 36 and Venue Map at 1074 × 1074.
• Poster generic. Artwork at 1074 × 1344 and Primary Logo at 378 × 90.
