How do I sell gift cards with a balance and redeem them?

Prepare the template

1. Create the template and add the Prepaid Card functionality under Functionality in the editor menu.
2. Keep Value is set on pass creation so every card starts with the amount the customer bought. Switch on Void the pass once the balance is depleted and Value can not be negative.
3. Show the balance on the card with {storedValue}. If you do not add a field, Passcreator adds one.
4. Under Barcode & NFC, switch on Insert unique pass ID as value.
5. Save and publish.

Sell the card

1. Go to Distribution › Forms and open the form of the template. In the payment tab, enable Stripe, PayPal or purchase on account and fill in the required details.
2. Save the form. The list marks it as Payment Enabled.
3. Click Show Form Link and place the link or QR code on your website and in the shop. After a successful payment the customer receives the card with the paid balance.

Redeem at the counter

1. Go to Validation and create a configuration for the template with the scan mode Save attendance. Switch on Show Stored Value and Increment Stored Value.
2. Load the configuration on the phones with a configuration link.
3. At the checkout, staff scan the card and enter the purchase amount. The app deducts it and shows the remaining balance. A negative entry recharges the card unless you disabled recharging in the functionality.
