How do I create and upload an Apple Pass Type ID certificate?

You download a certificate signing request from Passcreator and create the certificate for your Pass Type ID in the Apple Developer portal. Then you upload the resulting file back to Passcreator.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings › Certificates, add a new certificate and download the certificate signing request, also called CSR.
  2. In your Apple Developer account, create a Pass Type ID under Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles and create a certificate for it with the CSR. You need a paid Apple Developer Program membership for this.
  3. Download the .cer file from Apple and upload it under Settings › Certificates.
  4. Open the template and assign the certificate. Uploading alone does not attach it to existing templates.
