What do I do when my Apple certificate has expired?
Renew the certificate for the same Pass Type ID in the Apple Developer account that created it. Then upload the new file with Update Certificate under Settings › Certificates. Existing and new passes keep working and keep receiving updates and push notifications.
Do not create a new Pass Type ID. A different ID breaks the connection to the passes you already issued.
