KFC has been in Iceland since 1980 and runs 8 restaurants, 6 of them in the Reykjavík area. The team needed a flexible solution for electronic gift cards. Issuing them in the restaurants had to be simpler, selling them online had to be easy, and companies wanted to buy gift cards for their employees.

The solution connects gift cards to the POS

KFC Iceland uses the Passcreator Retail Suite to issue digital gift cards online and directly in the Dynamics AX POS in the restaurants. Guests buy a pass in a few clicks and keep it in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Staff redeem it at the till like any other payment.

For companies, the Retail Suite supports B2B gift card programs. Employers order passes for their teams, and KFC manages all of them in the same back office.
