Epal: designer gift cards online, in store and in the Wallet

Epal wanted to modernize how it sells gift cards. Customers needed more flexible ways to pay and a gift card that arrives electronically. Buying had to get simpler, above all for companies that give gifts to employees and for occasions like weddings.

The solution is one gift card for the shop and the stores

With the Passcreator Retail Suite, Epal offers a simple front end for buying gift cards online. Customers redeem them in store or online. At checkout they can split a payment between a gift card and another payment method.

Implementation with boxed passes and a QR code

Epal moved to fully electronic gift cards and still sells gift cards in elegant boxes in its stores. Each physical card carries a QR code, so the recipient can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet later. Buying and redeeming are simple either way.
