Built in workflow tools
The Workflow Engine includes a set of built in tools that manipulate, format and transform data within your automations. You insert them between steps, after the trigger or between actions. They clean up data, add logic or control how the workflow runs.
Text and data transformation
- Find and Replace searches for specific text, numbers or symbols in data from previous steps and replaces or removes them. You choose the field to search, what to look for, the replacement, and whether to replace all, the first or the last occurrence. Use it for cleaning or standardizing data.
- Remove Tags strips HTML or XML tags from text fields, for example content imported from emails or web forms.
- Data Cropping extracts or trims specific portions of a field, such as substrings, to isolate the relevant part of a larger value.
Split String into Elements of a Row Section (Array)divides a string into several elements based on a delimiter such as a comma, semicolon or space. The result is an array you process in later steps.- Phone Number Formatting standardizes phone number formats, for example to the international standards that downstream systems require.
- Date and Time Modification adjusts, formats or converts date and time values to match required formats or time zones.
- Mathematical Operation performs arithmetic on numeric data, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, for calculations and transformations.
Working with arrays and rows
- Iterator Tool processes each item of an array or list individually, so you run batch operations per element.
- Get an Element from an Array retrieves a specific element by its index.
- Rows Gluing combines several rows of data into a single string or entry, for consolidated output or export.
- Rows Union merges several data rows into a single dataset for further processing or reporting.
- Aggregator Tool aggregates data from several records or steps, such as sums, averages or compiled lists.
- Table Lookup searches and retrieves data from reference tables within your workflow, for dynamic enrichment or validation against predefined lists.
- Duplicate Search Setting identifies and handles duplicate entries to keep your data clean before further processing.
Flow control
- Router branches your workflow into several paths based on data values or conditions, so one automation handles different scenarios.
- Stop Automation on Condition halts the workflow when a condition applies. Use it to prevent errors and enforce business rules.
- Automation Delay introduces a deliberate pause between steps, for rate limiting, waiting on external processes or scheduling.
- Round Robin distributes tasks or data evenly among a list of recipients or processes, for assignment rotation or load balancing.
- Error Handler Tool defines how the workflow responds to errors. It retries a step, sends a notification or skips an action.
Integration and advanced tools
- HTTP Requests sends HTTP requests to external services or APIs to push or pull data, even when there is no ready made app connection.
- Webhook Catcher receives incoming data from external systems via webhooks and uses it to trigger automations.
- JavaScript Code inserts custom JavaScript directly into your workflow for advanced data manipulation, calculations or conditional logic beyond the built in options.
- AI Tools use built in AI capabilities for tasks such as content generation, text summarization or data enrichment.
