Connect Shopify with Passcreator
Connecting Shopify to Passcreator lets your workflows react to store events. For example, a workflow creates a pass when a customer places an order, or updates a loyalty pass when customer data changes. You set up the connection once and reuse it in all your workflows.
Adding the connection in Passcreator
- Go to Workflows in the sidebar. The workflow builder opens.
- Open the Apps tab and click Add a connection.
- Select Shopify from the dropdown list or use the search bar, then click Add a connection.
- Set a name for the connection. This is optional but helps avoid confusion if you have several Shopify accounts.
- Enter your Store URL and Access Token. You obtain both from Shopify in the next section.
- Click Continue.
Obtaining your Store URL and Access Token
You get the access token by creating a custom app in your Shopify Admin.
- Sign in to your Shopify account.
- Copy your Store URL from the address bar.
Enable custom app development
- In Shopify Admin, click the Apps section.
- Go to App and sales channel settings.
- Click Develop apps.
- If you haven't enabled API access before, click Allow custom app development and confirm the activation.
Create the app
- Click Create an app.
- Set a name for the app, for example "Passcreator".
- Click Create app.
Configure Admin API scopes
- Click Configure Admin API scopes.
- Check the boxes for the following scopes.
- Customers
- Draft Orders
- Orders
- Store content
- Locations
- Click Save.
Install the app and copy the token
- Go to the API credentials section.
- Click Install app.
- Click Reveal token once to view and copy your Access Token.
Finishing the connection
Back in Passcreator, paste the Access Token into the connection field and click Continue. Your connection is ready. Shopify now appears among your connected apps, and you use its triggers and actions in your workflows. For example, "new order" serves as a trigger for creating and sending a pass.
