Changes included in Version 5.2.0 of Passcreator

Passcreator

New features

• Show app scans on pass detail view.
• Added lastPushNotification placeholder to show the last push notification that was sent visibly on a pass.

Improvements and bugfixes

• Added pagination to projects when a lot of templates are assigned.
• Background image of tiers of a loyalty program can now also be used for thumbnails (event tickets and generic pass types).
• Timezone when scheduling push notifications was not taken into account in some cases.
• Display timezone that is configured for the customer account when scheduling push notifications or updates.

Passcreator Smart Scan App

New features

• Play a sound after scanning a pass.
• Use of front-facing camera.
• Support for external keyboards and barcode or NFC scanners.
• Scan app config QR codes in the app.
• Option to specify a custom device name.

Improvements and bugfixes

• Fixed an issue where valid passes where not recognized in offline mode if a place was specified for the app configuration.
• Improved pass synchronization for offline mode with large number of passes.

• Retry stale bulk processing jobs faster.

Features

• Support pass functionality tiers in template API.
• Back fields can be changed in order and individual back fields can be removed (whereas previously only the last field could be removed).
• Support the UUID, barcodeValue and userProvidedId (needs to be prefixed with the customer ID) in download URLs instead of the serial number which is the default.

• Add pay.google.com to Content-Security-Policy in order to render preview button in backend for Google Wallet passes.
• Show scrollbar on download page content if excessively long texts are used (not recommended).
• Payment status of invoices was not always updated if the payment succeeded.
• Stamp cards with a negative stamp value (storedValue field) broke the preview in the backend.

Bugfixes

• Deep links including a pass didn't work in other browsers than Google Chrome.
• App was asking for permissions to access location when it shouldn't.
• Mailto links didn't work on the back of passes.
• Automatic import of passes after app installation didn't work in all cases.
• Due to changes of Android file permissions, passes were not visible in certain edge cases, after saving them.
• The icon of a pass was not shown in push notifications.
• Fixed the wording of the dialog when adding passes to the archive.
