Leikbreytir was asked to deliver a digital gift card solution for S4S, one of the largest retail companies in Iceland, specializing in footwear and outdoor products. Leikbreytir (who is operating under the brand Gamechang3r internationally) built a SaaS product that is leveraging the Passcreator API. This product is sold as "Gift to Wallet" and was the result of the success of the S4S campaign.
Leikbreytir built an integration with the ERP, POS and eCommerce system of S4S through their "Gift to Wallet" solution that takes care of sales, redemption and balance management. This solution allowed S4S to switch to a closed-loop payment system completely eliminating complex and costly processes of the prior solution that was offered by a bank.
TV Campaign
When S4S launched their gift card solution, they ran a highly creative and engaging campaign that captured the timeless appeal of gift cards. The centerpiece of the campaign was a humorous TV advertisement featuring Dracula, who still had gift cards gifted to him by Cleopatra, emphasizing the enduring value of gift cards across ages. This clever narrative resonated with audiences, positioning gift cards as a thoughtful and versatile choice for any occasion. The campaign not only highlighted the convenience and flexibility of the new electronic gift card system but also made it a memorable part of S4S’s brand story, driving increased customer interest and adoption from the start.
